I’m currently in a panel discussion that includes Will Rosenzweig from Physic Ventures. Rozenzweig has an extensive background as an entrepreneur, investor, teacher, and writer. Back in the day, Rosenzweig co-founded The Republic of Tea. Most recently, Rosenzweig co-founded and now serves as Managing Director of Physic Ventures, a $20 million venture fund focused in the consumer-driven health sector. He just made some interesting comments about social entrepreneurs. He said that there are often two types of entrepreneurs, those that are less proven (but committed), and those that are more proven. He noted that he looks for resourcefulness in entrepreneurs, and for those that share his organization’s goals in terms of value creation and time horizon.
