2005 (August) Site Visit: Rippleffect's Cow Island

 

On Friday, August 5th Great Bay sponsored a multi-adventure site visit for our intrepid grantees to Rippleffect's Cow Island in Casco Bay.

 

After a scrumptious buffet breakfast at the Portland Yacht Services dock in Portland,

 

 

we embarked on the short cruise out to the island whose natural beauty is being preserved as Rippleffect expands its development there.

 

 

We listened and learned much about the successful strategies Rippleffect employs to engage its ever expanding number of youth and expand its programs. Then, we set out to gain some first-hand experience in such Ripple adventures as kayaking and,

 

 

 

 

 

a few fearless souls even tried their famous Zip Line!
